MAC Southampton Liptensity Event

On Thursday I was lucky enough to be invited along to the launch of the new range of MAC liptensity lipsticks. The event was held in West Quay in Southampton, and it was really great to get to see and meet such a lovely group of bloggers. We were greeted with a colour wheel of juices and loads of helpful MAC girls armed with tools and products to transform our looks.

The new liptensity range is said to be double the pigment, and with incredible colour pay off. They all have a creamy consistency due to having a gel base, which also means that the colours wont change with your individual skin chemistry. The shades we developed by a tetromat, which is a person that can see more colours than the average human eye. The result is a range of colours that fill in the gaps that regular colours leave, from easy to wear browns and nudes, to daring greys and blues.

I was really impressed by the intensity of the product - it's not often that you can get such intense pigment from a non-matte. They were also really comfortable and lasted a lot longer than expected. I definitely preferred the more 'fun' shades like the blue and grey, but I actually found myself drawn to the more neutral shades too which is really unlike me. They really did seem unique shades, rather than the generic nudes and pinks that every brand does.

Thanks again to the MAC Southampton team for organising such a great evening and all of the effort that they put in on the day!
